In T13 Annexes are the abilities of the Characters and Descendants are described as Annexes. They come in a number of types, Skills, Talents, Powers and Superskills and are defined from the Facets Annexed together. Each Annex must have a Root Facet and a Channelling Facet, the Annex can be rolled as either Facet, but it normally rolls as the Channelling Facet. Generally the Channelling Facet controls the type of Attack the Annex prefers to create.

Awe ___ ♦

Annex Root

Artistic Annexes

If you want a character to be an actor, painter, sculptor or a musician then you will want an Awe Root.


Annex Channel

Emotional and Spiritual Annexes

If you need a character with Mesmeric, Charming, or even Shamanistic powers then you'll want an Awe Channel.

Annex Root

Object, Ownership and wealth based Annexes

If you want an Annex based around owning things then Burden is the Root for you.


Annex Channel

Mass and ownership Annexes

If you want an Annex that grants you control over masses or grants you ownership of things then Burden is the Channel you require.

Annex Root

Practical, object creation, maintenance and repair Annexes

If you want to build something or repair something, if you want to be a plumber, builder, smith or mechanic then you will want a Craft Rooted Annex.


Annex Channel

Delicate, precision or complex Annexes.

If you wish to build a Master or Virtuoso Annex, that allows you delicate control then this is the Channel to choose.

Political or Social Annexes

If you want a fast-talk, spin-doctor, politics, or lie detector Annex you will want a Dominion Root.

Control or psychological Annexes

If you want to have a Hypnosis, Remote control, Piloting, or Driving Annex you may want a Dominion Channelling Facet.

Annex Root

Secretive, occult or Mysterious Annexes.

If you have secret training, have joined a secret society or are a master occultist then Enigma is probably the Root Annex for you.

Hiding, confusing, Annexes

If you have the gift of the gab, want to hide in plain sight or dazzle and confound people your Annex wants to have an Enigma Channelling Facet.

If you want a Character with Water-bending, Anger-based Psychokinesis or a Poltergeist then Fury is the Annex Root for you.

Aggression, Noise and Action Annexes

The ideal Channelling Facet for any Machine-gun toting action hero or rock guitarist is Fury.

When you are building a strong-man, a singer or musician, or even a web-slinging silk-worm themed superhero then they might need a Gossamer Channelling Facet.
