Fantasy

Posted on at

Fantasy is the side of Speculative Fiction that asks questions like, “What if… magic were real?”. Fantasy is very trope heavy as a genre, with most writers conforming to either portal fantasies or medieval fantasies (that are reminiscent of Dungeons and Dragons settings – for good reason).
Fantasy often features beings that are inherently magical in nature, such as Dragons, Elves, Faeries, Goblins and Demons, but the presence of those races is not enough to guarrantee it’s a fantasy novel.
